Dear Hiring Manager:
I am a passionate first-year Biomedical Engineering student attending the City College of New York pursuing a 4 year bachelor’s degree. I discovered your job listing through an extensive Google search for Internships pertaining to my field of study. Something that stuck out to me about your company is your focus on providing innovative medicine to patients in need. Your prioritization of employers having focus while dealing with patients, acting with integrity as well as urgency, inspiring others, while also winning in passion is truly admirable and is a big reason as to why I would be the perfect fit for the Internship position at your company. My expertise with medical experience, leadership roles, and customer relations are some of the many reasons why you should hire me.
In my previous role as a Physical Therapist Intern at JAG Physical Therapy I had gained hands-on experience with working with patients in a medical setting. Through this experience I have acquired skills including staying organized with patient paperwork, listening to patient needs and providing service based on those needs, communicating with other members of the team, as well as learning about the inner workings of a medical facility. I have also been able to create connections throughout the medical field which can be seen through speaking with many different medical professionals including doctors and staff during my years of participating in the Staten Island University Hospital partnership run by the high school I attended, New Dorp High School. Not only do I have prior experience within the medical field, but I have also had the opportunity to display my leadership capabilities through managing my high school’s track and field team. Some of my tasks were leading the stretches and drills, making sure everyone was on top of their workouts, being responsible for necessary equipment such as the AED machine, and teaching the girls how to do certain exercises or field events. Lastly, I have a lot of familiarity with customer relations through working multiple jobs that dealt one on one with customers. Working at Ralph’s Italian Ice, Ocean Breeze, and The National Lighthouse Museum have taught me how to effectively listen and communicate with customers which translates to superior patient care. Through this position within your company I will bring this knowledge that I have acquired and apply it to all aspects of my work.
If you want to further know more about me, feel free to refer to my resume. I am free Monday through Friday after 2:00 pm for an interview at your oces. You can reach me at my phone number (917) 855-9426 or email me at [email protected]. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to showing you what I could do for your company
Sincerely,
Alicja Zajac
